Asus P565: a new smartphone with a 800 MHz processor

With the P565, Asus puts the power in the heart of its new Windows Mobile smartphone with the Marvell mobile processor the fastest in the market. This model touch-oriented professional, integrates for the first time a processor (Marvell) 800 MHz, where the most powerful smartphones time with processors operate between 500 and 600 MHz.

The extra power is not supported by a very Accordingly RAM: only 128 MB of SDRAM where other high-end smartphones are equipped with 256 MB or more (as the HTC Touch Pro or the Sony Ericssion Xperia X1), which is a shame.

The P565 offers the same touch interface as the smartphone Glide 3G + Entry-Level P552w in superset of Windows Mobile: it allows you to navigate menus with your finger to access faster and more convenient to the main functions of terminal. Running Windows Mobile 6.1, the P565 has a 2.8 inch screen at VGA resolution, 256 MB flash memory, a microSD expansion card (SDHC).

Later wireless connectivity, you can find the classical interfaces 3G + / WiFi / Bluetooth / GPS. Measuring 102 x 60.5 x 16 mm, the P565 weighs 125 grams, with a 1300 mAh battery. It is supposed to provide only 3 hours of battery in connection 3G.

The Asus P656 will be marketed in France in January, to 479 euros (without mapping), or 549 euros (with mapping Europe).
